A lot of us know in our hearts that improvisation changes lives. But do we know why? In this workshop, we're going to dive in to the science behind behavioural change. We'll talk about what non-performance skills improv can teach, and how the culture of an improv class or team supports those skills. We'll also examine the connections between the tenets of improvisation and evidence-based therapeutic practices that combat anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and more. This workshop is designed for teachers, coaches, and anyone who wants to explore the practical applications of improvisation.
This will be mostly lecture / discussion-based. It's the kind of talk where participants can hang out in their jammies and drink tea while listening and chatting.
