SPEAKING UP TO POWER: HEARING ALL VOICES
Envision a world today where all voices are spoken, heard, and respected. Where relationships are built on trust and respectful communication which permeate family, community, and work dynamics! Properly facilitated improv experiences can help us shift old, depressing, and pervasive patterns of power-over others to exciting, collaborative and co-creative power-with others!
In this workshop, certified applied improvisation practitioner and author Beth Boynton, RN, MS, CP will tell you about a challenging time when she felt powerless and improv helped her become more confident and assertive! We’ll do a couple of experiential activities that highlight the deep roots of learning improv offers, strengthen both your voice and your ability to listen, and showcase how improv can help us build a more respectful, interconnected, and collaborative world.
